The 2001 QX4 runs circles around it. Curbsite (2001) In its first major redesign, the Infiniti QX4 sport-utility vehicle receives a bolder and crisper exterior appearance, a restyled interior package including a new instrument panel and center console, a new optional navigation system and an increase of 70 horsepower from an all-new 3.5-liter DOHC V6 engine. The Car Connection (2001) There are some traditional SUVs that are built on a truck platform and still emphasize that aspect. Infiniti’s QX4 is just that, a powerful, luxurious, comfortable sport-utility vehicle that drives well on the road, yet its truck roots are unmistakable. USA Today (2001) Nicely as it drives, QX4 suffers an unreconcilable problem. It seems too small, tighter inside than the Jeep Grand Cherokee, which is about the same size. The interior felt claustrophobic. Woman Motorist (2001) QX4 enhances Infiniti's sporting reputation. The excellent engine is one of best multicam V6's in market. Wide stance and rugged looks provide good performance and curb appeal. Epinions (2000) See what owners of the 2000 Infiniti QX4 think of their vehicles -- the good and the bad. It felt quicker than the numbers would indicate and in normal driving, there was never the feeling of a power outage. Off the line performance was especially strong and satisfying to about 40 mph.
