Your Environment
Be careful not to do too much damage when you ride. Going out of bounds, riding on private property... There are a lot of people watching what we do and how we treat our environment.
Trails
When you're riding on trails don't make a new trail. Instead, stay on the established path. If you don't, you may get more than you bargained for:
- You could get lost
- You could damage the surrounding plant and animal life
- You may run across something unexpected and damage your OHV
- You could face a fine
Don't litter - not even a cigarette butt or a candy wrapper. If you pack it in, pack it out.
Spinning Your Tires
Don't spin your tires and tear up the soil - it breaks the surface crust and leads to erosion when it rains.
Rocks
Should you need to pile stones up to get over an obstacle, then be sure to put the stones back where you found them afterwards.
Tricks and Stunts
We all love a good show, but if you're not in an areas exclusevely for stunts don't do it. There might be others in the area that don't know what you're up to and could get in the way.
Wildlife
Don't disturb the wildlife. There are still a few places for us to ride, let's not give anyone any more reason to close more of them down.
If you come across other offroaders, remember that when there's no room to pass, the rider going uphill should be afforded the right of way.
