I basically took the front and rear axle housings out of a 1978 F-150 and made brackets to mount the springs and radius arms. I then bought some steel tubing .135 wall and made a roll cage, upgraded the tranny cooler and radiator (aluminum stay cool radiator), rerouted the air intake system (to prevent water ingestion), relocated the pcm (into the glove compartment and water proofed it. Rhyno Lined the inside of the Truck so it would be easy to clean after offroading, installed water proof seat covers on the front seats, moved the front axle up 3.5 inches to better the approach angle, made attached a Hi Lift to the rear bumper, and a gas & water can to the rear liftgate (now welded shut). Then cut off the roof after and slight roll over that damaged the roof. Attached the spare tire to the top rear of the roll cage. I spent less than $2600 after it was all said and done (keep in mind I sold the old parts and recovered some of the money).
