2012 Polaris RANGER EV Electric UTV Preview

By

Back in late 2009, Polaris shocked the world by releasing an electrically powered version of their Ranger. Polaris was not the first company to sell an electric ATV; Barefoot Motors Model 1 EUV (Earth Utility Vehicle) was first sold back in 2008 with Melissa Brandao at the forefront, but Polaris has continued to change the world by releasing a new and more powerful Ranger EV model in 2010, 2011 and again in 2012.

The 2012 Polaris RANGER EV Electric UTV is the best model yet that Polaris has released, this Ranger is super clean and runs so quiet that you would hardly know the engine is running when you're driving it which is especially helpful if you want to use it for working on a farm, where you don't want to scare your animals or take it on hunting trip where you want to have the confidence that you're not going to scare the deer or other game that you might be hunting.

What's awesome about this ATV is that besides being a clean running ATV, it also is a harder working ATV than other electric models on the market today and it’s not an electric vehicle that will die on you after a few hours of use.

It’s all about the Motor

Unlike other electric ATVs on the market today, the 2012 Polaris RANGER has a very strong 30 horse power engine and a smooth side x side that’s all electric. The 30 horse power engine has a 48V, AC motor which helps to extend its range and make this ATV even more efficient.

The RANGER EV Electric UTV also has a long-lasting 11.7kWh battery that offers its driver the option of three modes that include: low, medium and high. Unlike other electric ATVs on the market today, anyone who buys the RANGER EV can have confidence in that once they plug the RANGER into an AC wall outlet, it will have the power that they need to get up and go and it'll keep its charge for a longer period of time.

Traction

One of the things that can stink about other ATVs on the road today is lack of traction. Thankfully, with the 2012 Polaris RANGER EV Electric UTV; its driver will enjoy awesome all-wheel-drive. All of its four wheels will constantly be in motion when the driver needs the traction and then it will revert back to 2WD when the driver doesn’t need four-wheel drive any longer. Another cool thing to mention about the 2012 Polaris RANGER Polaris Ranger is that with its new Turf Mode option, its driver will be able to easily unlock the rear differential which will ensure that the RANGER EV will make better turns and not tear up grass, turf or wherever it’s being driven.

Get the Job Done

A typical ATV owner purchases an ATV like the RANGER EV Electric UTV for one thing: work and this ATV won't disappoint. With its rear dump box, any driver can haul up to 500 pounds and tow up to 1,250 pounds and thanks to its dumping function, that's all gas assist, anyone who uses this workhorse of ATVs will have confidence that they will be able to use it whenever and wherever they may be working or playing.

Driver Comfort

Besides being a great workhorse, this SxS is also super comfortable too; it offers lots of space in the cab for foot room and leg room plus comfortable seats that won't leave a driver or their passengers with sore bottoms at the end of the day. The 2012 Polaris RANGER EV Electric UTV also offers excellent ground clearance which promises to clear over 10 inches of obstacles which helps, especially when its driver is driving on bumpy terrain with a lot of rocks or debris.
