GMC added some new features for the '01 model year. With the redesigned Vortec V6 and V8 engines the oil-change intervals were extended to 7,500 miles. Factory-installed OnStar, GM's mobile communications and security system, were made standard with the SLT trim level. GMC also made available a 325-horse, all-wheel-drive called the C3.
