Sahara Expedition YJ:
Designed to explore the North African Sahara rather than rockcrawl
Current State: 2.5" lift. 31" tires. Quick disconnects. Polyurethane everywhere. York Onboard air. Isolated dual batteries. Free flow air intake. Extra fan in front of the radiator hooked to the A/C clutch (It's hot down here). Custom front bumper with Warn X8000I. Dakar style roof rack with mounts for sand mats, Hi-Lift, shovel, spare tire, butane tank and awing. Custom drawers under the rear folding seat. Removable inside cab extra fuel and water tanks. Hood mounted GPS antenna and 2 GPS receivers on the dash board. All sorts of recovery equipment.
Working on: Overhead console containing a disassembled computer and an old flip down laptop screen to run navigation software and MP3.
Soon: A tire carrier with rack. Custom coil springs suspension
