Montero
Montero was Mitsubishi's first sport-ute in 1983. The second-generation of Montero arrived in 1992 as a bigger, more refined and less square SUV. Mitsubishi introduced the third-generation Montero in 2001 with a quieter, smoother ride, and lots of modern conveniences.

Mitsubishi's compact SUV, Montero Sport, was added to the line in 1997.

Outlander
Built on the Lancer passenger car platform, the Outlander was introduced in 2003 as a car-like crossover vehicle that performs typical SUV chores.
