Mountaineer
Introduced in 1997, the Mercury Mountaineer is based on America's top-selling sport-utility vehicle, the Ford Explorer.

Villager
Mercury entered the minivan market in 1993 with the Villager, which shared a platform with the Nissan Quest. The Villager received a new look in 1996 and was redesigned again for 1999.
