The crisp, light of HID makes reflective paints on road markers and signs easier to see at night.

Aftermarket high-performance lighting accessories enhance your vehicle's styles and overall safety. Sylvania's XENARC High Intensity Discharge (HID) lighting systems are the only street-legal HID product available in the automotive aftermarket today. Currently, Sylvania's newest light kits are available for select Ford and Chevy trucks (F150, Expedition, Silverado, Suburban, and Tahoe models).

What Makes These Lights So Different?
The distinctive, crisp, white light of HID stimulates reflective paints on road markers and signs, making them easier to see at night. Plus, the increased light output illuminates a wider area in front of the vehicle, without disturbing the visibility of oncoming drivers.

Xenarc HID isn't like conventional halogen lighting. There are no filaments to break or degrade over time. It works by creating an electrical discharge between two electrodes within an arc tube. The arc tube is sealed in a glass jacket to filter ultraviolet emissions. The Xenarc HID system utilizes a state-of-the-art electronic ballast to ignite and sustain the arc.

Advantages Of HID Over Standard Halogen Lighting

  • 3x the light output
  • Enhanced peripheral vision
  • Improved down-road illumination
  • A whiter, more intense higher color temperature light that enhances contrasts
  • Reduction in power consumption by nearly 50%
  • 10x longer life

Street-legal high performance lighting…It's brilliant. It's legal. And it's here now!
