The Wrangler Rubicon is Jeep's "ultimate off-road rig", built to reflect the "original" Jeeps designed in 1940 for off-road military travel. Essentially, the Rubicon is a modified Wrangler from the factory that features an off-road performance package that will appeal primarily to off-road enthusiasts. It's engineered to take on the most demanding trails -- even those previously reserved for only highly modified vehicles.
All '03 production Wrangler Rubicon Jeeps must be able to survive a trip down California's Rubicon Trail -- a Class 10 trail comprised of 22 miles of some of the toughest off-road driving available in North America.
The Rubicon ranges between $24,000 and $28,500, depending on options and has an EPA (city/hwy) of 15/17mpg.
