Cleaner Emissions

• With cooled EGR, cooled exhaust gases are re-circulated back into the combustion chamber, lowering the burning temperature of the combustion event and, as a result, reducing oxides of nitrogen (NOx). International is using this proven system as a platform to reduce emissions across its diesel engine product lines. Along with other emissions-reducing technologies, emissions from the Power Stroke Diesel V-8 engine satisfy post-2004 standards and achieve 20 to 38 percent NOx reduction.

International will manufacture the new Power Stroke Diesel engine at its Indianapolis Engine Plant.
