RETRAX™ is manufactured from polycarbonate, a virtually indestructible thermoplastic, commonly known as LEXAN ®. RETRAX™ engineers applied the same Polymer technology used in fighter-jet windshields and designed a bed cover that withstands the most rugged use. This rigid one-piece sheet retracts into a unique spiral track storage canister, that is engineered to retract without joints or hinges which can trap dust, wear out or freeze. Polycarbonate has excellent impact resistance and is unaffected by sun, moisture or temperatures form -50º to +200º. Tempered aluminum I-beams imbedded into the polycarbonate sheet add strength to support heavy snow loads and insure quiet, stable travel at any speed. RETRAX™ has a gloss black finish that adds a new dimension of beauty to your pickup. The cover also utilizes a flush-mounted locking system that can be key-locked in any position along the bed rail, which allows for unlimited hauling flexibility and convenient use with a fifth wheel trailer.
