How to Join a 4-Wheel Drive Club
From your 4-wheel drive/SUVs Guide

Joining a 4-wheel drive club can be easy and fun.

Difficulty Level: Easy    Time Required: three months or more

Here's How:
  1. Find a few clubs in your area. You should look into more then one.
  2. Find out where and when they meet.
  3. Go to a few meetings to learn more about the club and the people in the club.
  4. Ask to see their bylaws. The bylaws could tell you a lot about a club.
  5. Go on a few 4-wheel drive trips with the club.
  6. Make sure they are responsible 4-wheelers. There is no need to get in with outlaw clubs. The sport can't afford these kind of clubs if it is to continue being a sport.
  7. Once you find you like a certain club ask what it takes to join. Usually it is three meetings and three trips before you can be voted into a club. You should already have a few of each done by now.
  8. Have fun and enjoy.

Tips:

  1. Take your time. Check out the clubs well before you join. Nothing is worse then being stuck with a bunch of people you don't want to be around for a whole weekend.
  2. While at the first meeting take a look at the vehicles before you go in. Are they like what you drive? Are they are well built or are they mostly stock?
