If there's one thing I've learned in my years of riding in the sand dunes of southern California it's that you really need to keep your air filter clean.

If you don't keep your air filter clean and in good working condition you risk not just a poor running quad but a very real possibility of doing expensive damage to your engine if the filter gets clogged enough to allow sand to get around it.

When you consider the power of your quad and the size of a piece of sand it's scary to think that even the smallest grain of sand can cost hundreds of dollars in repair bills (or several hours if you're a do-it-yourself kind of guy).

Here are some helpful air filter maintenance tips that can help keep your ATV running strong and healthy.
