There are a lot of different types of ATVs out there, and there are different types of transmissions to help them do the job they were designed to do more efficiently.
Sport ATVs typically have manual transmissions to give the rider more control over the quad, while Utility ATVs often have a manual transmission, sometimes with a hi-lo gear selector lever.
Side by Sides usually have a manual transmission that is similar to a car and some have paddle shifters.
