US EPA Voids Chinese ATV Imports, Cites "Falsified Tailpipe Emissions" Information

The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has found that the import and sale of some 200,000 offroad vehicles was done using falsified emissions reports and has subsequently suspended the import of ATVs and OHVs from 4 Chinese manufacturers.

4 major Chinese manufacturers were affected by this action. Loncin, Peace, Seaseng and Hensim have had certificates denied for scores of OHV models, mostly 250cc or smaller in size.

There are no responsibilities or burdens on consumers and anyone who bought an ATV or OHV from one of these manufacturers are not required to do anything.
