Jeep Wrangler May be Facing Safety Recall for Possible Fire Danger

The National Highway Traffic Safety Adminsistration has opened an investigation into what may be a possible defect in 2007 and 2008 Jeep Wranglers out of Toledo, Ohio.
There were three complaints filed which prompted the investigation looking at an overheating transmission on the Jeep Wrangler. When the transmission gets too hot, it may force transmission fluid to escape from the transmission and catch fire.
The investigation into the 2007 and 2008 Jeep Wranglers involves nearly a quarter million vehicles whose transmissions were made at the Chrysler plant in Kokomo, Indiana.
