With a tanking economy all around us, everyone is trying to get money where they can. From ATV and motorcycle dealers cutting corners to government agencies looking for every penny they can squeeze out of businesses not following their plethora of rules, regulations and requirements.
A handful of ATV Dealers have been fined by California Air Resources Board (CARB) for buying and selling "un-certified" quads and motorcycles that do not conform to California Emissions Standards. They were fined over a quarter million dollars.
The dealers involved in this settlement include Viva Motor Sports Inc., DEC 26 Inc., BH Motorsports Inc., Nitro Motorsports Inc. and their associated businesses in the Los Angeles area. The dealers are also “permanently enjoined from acquiring, offering for sale, or selling uncertified motor vehicles for use, registration, or resale in California and falsely representing that a vehicle is certified".
Gee. Ya think? Isn't that what got them into trouble in the first place?
